Wicked Awesome Christmas

I'm not gonna lie - this last edit for Wicked Awesome Christmas was a bitchy-beyotch. The green screen compositing and motion effects took me a long time to get done, but in the end, it was well worth it. And yes, that really is me singing. (Ed. Note: Nobody asked, Bobby).

I just have to say that Eric LeDallic was more than a sport in this sketch. His role is, shall we say, disturbing. Still, very funny. That guy just never disappoints.

Tomorrow we're shooting and editing our NBC thing before Kevin and I both head out of town for the holidays (me to New England, Kevin to Florida). After Christmas we're shooting another Teen Tips (How To Practice Safe Sex) and taking some time to write a couple TV scripts. I can't wait until I actually take a real vacation someday. You know - someplace warm - with my new girl...

...okay, maybe I am a little delirious from this last edit. Onward and upwards!

Wicked Awesome Films on NBC?

Wicked Awesome Films has been chosen as one of five sketch comedy producers/groups to participate in the television pilot of IT'S YOUR SHOW hosted by Carson Daly!

Needless to say, Kevin and I are pumped. We're going to rock it out on the sketch we're preparing for them. We'll let you know how it goes and when it goes on air!

Nolte, Busey, Kristofferson Is Coming!

We shot two short episodes (if you can call them that) of our newest running sketch, "Nolte, Busey, Kristofferson".

The first two episodes (again, I'm not really sure you can call them that) are called "The Bus Stop" and "Best Buy". These sketches are so random but really well written by Kevin. We had a lot of fun and I can't wait to get them online to show everyone. They'll be up later this week.

Here's a sneak peak at Kevin playing Nolte:

Ah-Doo-Ba-Dee-Do!

We finished Punchy! People have asked if there will be other episodes. Methinks we can comply. We've thought about some adversaries for Ol' Punchy: Kicky, Stabby, Shooty, Kathy Bates... you get the idea.

Give Us A Break.com

Holy crapanoli, that's clever.

Our sketch, Teen Tips: How To Buy Alcohol! tore it up over at Break.com this past week. Currently it's got over 635,000 views there! Collegehumor.com featured us as well.

Needless to say, many thanks to both of these sites for the front page postings. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out at YouTube below (we need the hits there).

The last three weeks have been pretty hectic. Kevin and I have been busting our asses getting sketches written, shot, and edited, along with our team, Marty Thornley, Eric LeDallic and the non-hyperlinked newcomer from my hometown of Leominster, MA, Eric Mello.

There's a lot more to come and very, very soon. Now go see Borat.

Wicked Awesome Films in Hollywood Reporter!

Well kick me in the nuts and call me Nancy - we got into the Hollywood Reporter yesterday!

It was an article entitled, "YouTubers Mixed on Google Buy". Here's the section about us::

"At least a dozen YouTube videos poked fun at Hurley and Chen's video, mimicking its unrehearsed nature and their sometimes awkward interplay. Kevin and Bobby, a pair of wiseacres who post videos under the label WickedAwesomeFilms, dressed up as Hurley and Chen, one even donning a blonde pageboy wig crudely approximating Hurley's haircut. In the video, Hurley's doppelganger muses aloud about what he will do with the newfound millions.

"I'm going to pay Angelina Jolie $50 million and Jessica Biel $50 million to wrestle in baby oil, and I'm going to videotape it," he says.

"That will be up on the site soon," the Chen character says.

Kevin was Hurley and I was Chen. His line was funny. Mine was not. I hate Kevin now. Good times. Here's a link to the sketch we did.

Special thanks to Alex Woodson in NY and Andrew Wallenstein in LA who wrote this story. Hopefully it's not the last time we get our picture in THR!!!
