Custom YouTube Thumbnails!

Finally, YouTube has let us upload custom thumbnails. I think it's just for content partners, but man, I'm so glad that Punchy 2 is finally able to have this as the representative image for the video:

Secret Santa Concept Trailer

Last year, Kevin and I came up with a really cool idea called "SECRET SANTA". We shot a bunch of stuff with the idea that Santa Claus was a superhero-secret agent. We managed to put out a teaser trailer, but not the entire "concept trailer". Here it is:

We want to make this as a movie for next Christmas. Hopefully we'll get the chance!

Punchy Punches SxePhil At YouTube Live!!!

We had a great time at YouTube Live. We met so many people and basically I learned one thing - everyone is cooler and nicer than me. Kevin fits right in though. :)

Big thanks to Philip DeFranco for posting Punchy on his website. Here's his video of us meeting:

Phil is the #3 most-subscribed Director on YouTube. Quite a feat. We also hung out with Shaycarl, who probably has the best laugh of all time, Joe Bereta, who is yet another incredibly nice guy who can keep up with Kevin in rapid-fire hilarity (that's REALLY saying something), Smosh - who's latest Sex Ed video is awesome. I also met HouseholdHacker who taught the world how to charge an iPod with an Onion!

I hope to see and hang out with these YouTubers again. What a great time. -Bobby J.

Rhett & Link's YouTube Supernote Contest!

Our good pals Rhett & Link have invited Wicked Awesome Films to be a YouTube Team Captain for their "YouTube-Hold-A-Singing-Note-The-Longest-Event". They call it "Supernote" which is caticher (I guess).

Here's our video. Watch it, then go to YouTube and make a video response to it. All you have to do is say, "This is my supernote..." and hold a musical note as long as you can!

Win and Rhett & Link just might make a song for you!

We just switched to a Ning site and this is the first time we've embedded a video uploaded to "our site" and embedded it elsewhere. It's an exclusive of Kevin fooling around on the set of JUNO TOO:

YouTube Spotlight On Juno Too

The YouTube folks placed "Juno Too" in the Comedy Spotlight today. Since Juno Too was originally created for the MTV Movie Award Spoof Contest, for which the winner is announced today, and we got beat out by a crappy Matthew McConaughey impression, we're feeling pretty good that TODAY is the day to have the Spotlight shine on WAF.

Thanks YouTube!

It also popped up in the Revver Blog and the Daily Tube Blog & E-mail Blast.

We were also featured over at Dailymotion and Crackle:

We're hoping MySpace features it. Maybe even YouTube. That'd be boss.

Thanks!

Juno Too

Well, I must say, I worked by but off on this little parody. Originally edited for the MTV Movie Spoof Contest, we got a bit hosed over at Dailymotion. Congrats to the winner, but I really feel our piece is far better than the video they chose that depicts a mediocre sketch with a horrendous Matthew McConaughey impression, although it was shot pretty well. (Doesn't make it funny though).

The MTV contest or its affiliates contacted Wicked Awesome Films on three separate occasions asking us to submit to the contest. I would've never done it if it weren't for my lovely girlfriend Sarina, who is both funny and cute in this little sketch, starring as Juno's girlfriend, Pauline Bleeker.

At the end of the day, I think we have one of the better Wicked Awesome Films we've ever made and I hope you all enjoy it. I really loved the original movie and I had fun making this parody with all my friends.

Garden Party Stories From WAF

So as you my have seen, we've been posting these "Garden Party Stories" over the last couple weeks. They were for a movie coming out this summer called Garden Party

They were a lot of fun to do. Kevin's bravery showed up in the first one:

And the last one was about a hot chick in a crack house. And Bobby being a crack-head.

Special thanks to our talented pals Eric LeDallic, Sean Astin and Ally Iseman. Ally was in the one above, while Eric and Sean showed up in the Corey Feldman Garden Party Story:

Out of all of these, we did a silly one with three commercial parodies. The first one - Gorilla Glue:

Kevin & Bobby: Dorks On The Side

While Kevin and I love making Wicked Awesome Films, we do stuff on the side for fun lots of times. Recently, Kevin did a hilarious lip-sync of Bill O'Reilly's Freak Out on Inside Edition. Here's the original:

And here's Kevin's awesome vid:

Now, I did a little thing with the GF, but to be fair, this is an outtake from a video that Kevin and I made together. I just posted this to my youtube account:

Punchy Promotes Will Ferrell. Well Sorta.

I just thought this was a funny image. I was reading some comments on YouTube and then I realized, "Holy crap. Will Ferrell's latest movie is advertising on Punchy!"

I mean, I get it, it's not like the studio who made SEMI-PRO is throwing us money or anything, I just thought it was funny that our little video, as part of the YouTube Content Partner program, is now advertising Will Ferrell's latest flick. Pretty much not a big deal - but still kinda cool.

Super Tuesday & The Barack Obama Song

Well, I put together this latest video yesterday. I was home recovering from the Pats' loss to the valiant New York Giants. Congrats to those guys.

Anyway, this video isn't endorsing Obama, although I admit I did vote for him today in the California Primary. Moreso, it's a bit of a commentary on all of the other Internet sketches run amok about the Senator from Illinois. Funny thing is, the idea for the song came to me about March 2007. I recorded the music not long after and never got around to shooting anything for it until about November. Then I edited it yesterday. (Goes to show you where this was on my priority list).

Anyway, good luck to Senator Barack Obama today, and cheer up Pats fans. Spring Training for the Sox starts in ten days.
